چکیده
The current study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of simultaneous administration Zingiber officinale (ginger) and Cinnamomum cassia (cinnamon) extracts in mitigating testicular changes associated with diabetes mellitus rats investigate its molecular mode action. After induction using streptozotocin, 36 male were divided six groups namely control, diabetic, metformin-treated, cinnamon-treated, ginger-treated combined, each group having 6 rats. Fasting blood glucose, serum insulin, testosterone was measured. Expression inflammatory mediators; tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), Nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) Sirtuin 1 (SIRT1) assessed tissue. Histopathological testis observed spermatogenesis apoptosis immunohistochemically. histological biochemical studies untreated confirmed structural testes induced by diabetes. Oral ginger cinnamon increased insulin level significantly while glucose decreased diabetic rats, improving considerably. Joint intake antihyperglycemic, antioxidant anti-inflammatory effects markedly injury compared either them. SIRT1 expression plus cinnamon-treated These results indicate that when administrated together, synergistically enhanced antioxidant, antiapoptotic antihyperglycemic effect comparable metformin. combination also upregulated testis.

Thymoquinone Defeats Diabetes-Induced Testicular Damage in Rats Targeting Antioxidant, Inflammatory and Aromatase Expression
Antioxidants have valuable effects on the process of spermatogenesis, particularly with diabetes mellitus (DM). Therefore, the present study investigated the impact and the intracellular mechanisms by which thymoquinone (TQ) works against diabetes-induced testicular deteriorations in rats. Wistar male rats (n = 60) were randomly allocated into four groups; Control, Diabetic (streptozotocin (STZ...

Cinnamon is used to flavor most foods in Arabian countries. The aim of this study was to evaluate the medicinal importance, reflecting an important trend in research. The hepatoprotective activity of aqueous and ethanolic extracts of cinnamon was investigated against carbon tetrachloride (CC1(4)) induced lipid peroxidation and hepatic injury in rats. The elevated serum AST and ALT enzymatic act...

متن کاملSesame effects on testicular damage in streptozotocin-induced diabetes rats
Objective(s): Reproductive dysfunction is a consequence of diabetes. Diabetes is associated with changes in testicular tissue. Sesame oil contains large amounts of polyunsaturated fatty acids and lignin with antioxidant activity, vitamin E, and monounsaturated fatty acid (MUFA). The present study investigated the effects of sesame on testis histology and male reproductive parameters in streptoz...
متن کاملThe anti-oxidant effects of ginger and cinnamon on spermatogenesis dys-function of diabetes rats.
BACKGROUND Diabetes rats have been linked to reproductive dysfunction and plant medicine has been shown to be effective in its treatment. Antioxidants have distinctive effects on spermatogenesis, sperm biology and oxidative stress, and changes in anti-oxidant capacity are considered to be involved in the pathogenesis of chronic diabetes mellitus. Ginger and cinnamon are strong anti-oxidants and...
